Stock Tank Refill Checklist

1. Safety & Preparation

Ensure the spa cooler/heater and filtration system are turned off before refilling.

Always disconnect all electrical connections when performing any maintenance

Verify all electrical equipment is dry and safely disconnected from water.

Check both the heater/cooler & Filter for any visible damage, clogs & leaks or corrosion

Confirm hoses and valves between the stock tank and equipment are intact.

2. Refill Stock Tank

Connect your water supply to the stock tank and fill water..

Monitor water level and stop refill at recommended capacity ( It's VERY important that the

water level is above the inlet and outlet connections on the Stock Tank ).

Optionally, add water treatment chemicals if your system requires (e.g., chlorine, PH).

3. Prime the System

Once the tank is filled, check that all valves from tank to Poolex Filter Max Pro are open.

Go to the top of the Poolex filter tank. Find the air relief or "bleeder" valve and slowly open it.

You may hear a hissing sound as air escapes, when water starts to come out you can close it

again.

4. Restart Filtration & Heating/Cooling

Always turn on the Poolex Filter Max Pro first and NEVER run the cooler/heater on it’s own

Observe for:

Proper water flow

No airlocks in hoses

No leaks

Turn on O’Shea 5kW heater/cooler once the tank is fully primed and water is circulating.

5. Final Checks

Check water temperature and ensure the heater/cooler is responding correctly.

Verify no unusual noises from pump or heater.

Inspect all connections and seals after a few minutes of operation.

6. Routine Maintenance Reminder

Clean the filter basket regularly and the Micro filter balls too.

Monitor water chemistry ..
