Our range is designed to suit different levels of cold-water setup. CORE is the simplest option for filling and plunging, FLOW adds continuous filtration for easier water care, and ACTIVE adds temperature control so you can set and maintain your preferred water temperature.

What’s the difference between CORE, FLOW and ACTIVE?
CORE — Tank + essential fittings. Simple, natural cold-water immersion.
FLOW — Tank + filtration system. Cleaner water with less frequent water changes.
ACTIVE — Tank + filtration + chiller. Complete temperature-controlled cold-water setup.

There’s no need to go extremely cold. Many people find 5–15°C plenty for cold-water immersion. Beginners should start warmer and with shorter sessions while they become accustomed to the cold.

With CORE and FLOW, the water temperature naturally follows outdoor conditions, so ice can be added when you want it colder. ACTIVE uses a chiller to cool and maintain the water automatically.

This depends on usage and water treatment. CORE will generally require more frequent water changes. FLOW and ACTIVE continuously filter the water and, with appropriate water care like ECO3SPA, can keep it fresh for considerably longer.

Yes. One of the advantages of the Tanktribe system is that you can start simple and upgrade your setup later.

Yes. The Poolex O’SPA system used with ACTIVE can both cool and heat, giving you much greater control over your water temperature throughout the year.

Yes, our galvanised steel tanks are designed for outdoor use. We recommend using a cover to keep debris out and following the appropriate winter precautions for pumps, filters and chillers during freezing conditions.

The 4 and 5 foot are great options for the core as you will have less water to empty and refill. For most people, a 5ft oval provides plenty of room for a comfortable solo plunge without taking up too much space. Larger 6ft and 7ft models give you more room and are a good option for taller users, shared use or anyone who simply prefers a more spacious plunge.

If you're keeping the same water for extended periods, particularly with FLOW or ACTIVE, appropriate cold-plunge water treatment helps keep the water clear and hygienic. Tanktribe also offers water-care products specifically suited to plunge setups in the form of our ECO3SPA products

Never use Chlorine or Bromine without a a Filter running as that will cause rusting.

CORE requires very little setup. FLOW and ACTIVE involve connecting the supplied filtration, hoses and fittings, but they're designed as complete systems and installation guidance is provided.

The equipment operates from standard 230V power, but it should be connected to a suitable RCD-protected outdoor electrical supply. Electrical connections and sockets should always be appropriate for outdoor use and kept protected from water. Both connections are 2 pin European connections but we supply an adapter.

NEVER try to cut the plug and add a Irish 3pin plug.
